Pixel Critters Village Staging Backup is a private utility used by the project owner for staging database backup and recovery checks. These terms describe its limited intended use; the public website pages provide information only and do not offer public accounts or a hosted backup service.

Authorized use

The utility may be used only by its owner or a person the owner authorizes, and only for data the person is permitted to back up. Users must protect database credentials, OAuth credentials, and the recovery key, and must not try to access another person's Google Drive files.

Backups and recovery

The utility encrypts database exports locally before uploading them to the owner's Google Drive. The owner is responsible for keeping the recovery key separate and safe, controlling backup copies, and periodically checking that a backup can be restored. A checksum helps detect file changes but does not prove that a database can be fully restored. This utility is a convenience and is not a guarantee against data loss or service interruption.

Third-party services

Google Drive and other infrastructure providers operate under their own terms. The owner controls the Google account and authorization granted to the utility.

Availability and changes

The utility is provided for private administrative use and may change or stop being available. The owner should keep independent backups and not rely on this utility as the only recovery method. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
