Staging Backup

Pixel Critters Village Staging Backup is a private utility used by the project owner to create and verify backups of the project's Supabase staging database.

Database exports are encrypted on the owner's Mac with age before the encrypted files and their checksums are uploaded to the owner's Google Drive. The utility uses Google's drive.file permission to manage only the Drive files it creates or uses for these backups. It does not access the owner's other Drive files.

Data and storage

The database export can contain project records and authentication password hashes. The export is encrypted before upload. The recovery key is kept separately by the owner and is not uploaded with the backup. The website hosting these information pages does not receive database exports or Google Drive credentials.
